Young Scientists Workshop

The promotion of young researchers is a special focus of the German Statistical Society. In addition to the annual conference, at which young scientists can present their work to a broader audience, the young scientists’ workshops, which have been held annually since 1994, serve a more individual and intensive presentation and discussion of ongoing or completed research projects. The group of participants should not exceed 20 persons.

In addition to the other participants, three to four renowned university professors are available as discussion partners. The prerequisite for an invitation is the abstract of a dissertation or paper that is currently being prepared or has been completed and has been accepted by the organizer. The aim of the Young Scientists Workshop is to provide subject-related advice and guidance for further work. Consideration can also be given to the future career path of the young researchers.
