Welcome to the Statistical Week 2021 in Kiel.
online via video conference – registration now open
We are all concerned about the current situation regarding Covid-19. Unfortunately, at the moment it looks as if any planning for the near future is problematic. Moreover, the situation requires to take your health as well as ours seriously, despite the desire and anticipation of meeting again.
The Board of the German Statistical Society (DStatG) together with the Association of German City Statisticians (VDSt) and the German Society for Demography (DGD), as well as the host at Kiel University, have decided that this year the Statistical Week from 14 to 17 September will be held as a virtual conference. This decision was very difficult for us, since many of us are looking forward to a conference as it used to be. However, health and planning security led us to this conclusion.
The call for papers is open and we would be very pleased if you would support us during this difficult time with a successful, albeit virtual, conference.
The Young Researchers Workshop will also be held virtually. The announcements for the Wolfgang Wetzel Prize and the two Young Scientists’ Prizes also remain valid. Up-to-date information is also always available on our homepage.
All submission deadlines have been extended to 20 May, 14:00.
With best regards,
Chairman of the German Statistical Society
